Squadron 42 is the large scale, narrative driven singleplayer component of Star Citizen where your choices matter. In Squadron 42 you take up the role of a navy pilot where you will be flying out on dangerous missions and relaxing aboard the capital ship where you can get to know the crew.


Responsibilities:

  • Ownership of multiple non-combat, narrative focused levels
  • Taking the levels through multiple internal milestones
  • Technical implementation of mission flow
  • Created and maintained documentation for owned levels and multiple features
  • Designed and created background vignettes
  • Implemented dialogue options for the player
  • Regular progress reviews with directors ensuring work is being completed to a high standard and on time
  • Worked closely with design management, animation and QA to ensure all aspects of owned levels are to the highest quality
  • Worked closely with teams across multiple international studios and timezones
  • Mentored new team members

One of my ongoing roles at CIG is to identify suitable points within the captured performances for my chapters and determine if and when the player can “pause”, “resume” and “abandon” conversations with NPCs to allow for full player agency.
