VR Climb



Project Objectives:

  • Gain a basic knowledge of designing and scripting for VR
  • Create a climbing mechanic and a small practice course

Inspired by the climbing sequence in Star Wars: Vader Immortal, this project was my first experience developing for VR.


Through this, not only did I have the opportunity of gaining a better understanding of what designing and scripting would require for VR, but also had the chance of experimenting with allowances and restrictions for player movement. It was important that I was keeping track of what the players could be doing with their hands at all times. This made me think more in depth of different scenarios, such as the possibility of players holding a ledge with both hands and moving the controllers apart.
